The Bible is a great Book for faith and life. It is not only for when everything is going well but also for when life hurts. The Psalms are especially comforting, The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 42: 4: "My tears have been my food day and night." And then it says in verse 6 of this Psalm: "Why art thou cast down, my soul, and art thou disquieted in me?" Yes, life can hurt as health issues or other problems cross your path. There is perhaps no one who understands you and while there might be a smile on your face, inside your heart is crying. And when it's dark and no one sees you, tears roll secretly down your cheeks. The situation may seem hopeless, but it is written in verse 6b of the same Psalm: "Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, my Savior and my God!" Oh, however much life hurts, even in challenging circumstances, how much sorrow you may feel, have hope in the Li-ving God. He is able to help you in His time and His way. Yes, turn your face with teary eyes to the Lo-ving and Mighty God of Consolation and Salvation and never give up! Amen.
